Muslims, Christians, all of you. What, if anything, do you do to make the more extreme factions of your flock 'see the light', as it were?

Does you feel that that falls under your responsibility, or not? Are you your brothers' keeper?

Extremists are everyone's problem regardless of what religion they claim to represent. In fact, there is a certain level of extremity with every religion even among so-called moderates. Everyone has the right to formulate their own opinions, and the problem will not be solved by forcing one to change their opinion. The problem is solved when all groups respect each other's right to make a choice and stop trying to make the choice for them.

It is partly my responsibility. I am my brothers keeper.

What is a Christian extremist? I say its a Quaker, Mennonite, Amish - we want to encourage Christian extremism. Someone who takes the message of Jesus seriously is a lover of peace, non-judgmental - boring, from a secular perspective. I want to more clearly define Christianity in strictly Biblical terms to avoid politicized Christianity, and marching to war in the name of God. If God choses to go to war, He can, but my faiths teachings don't support man leading the charge.

What is a Muslim extremist? Why bother asking, we all know the answer to this question. What is a moderate Muslim? Is it one that fits our Western views on a peaceful person of faith? No, I believe a moderate Muslim is one who doesn't take the call to jihad seriously - one who doesn't follow the teachings of Muhammed. Islam's teachings are violent. It is a religion of war. We can try and make politically correct statements about it being a religion of peace, love, etc., but the Quran isn't ambiguous - it calls for war.

What do we do to reign in the godless governments, bent on domination, repression and persecution - North Korea, Cuba, China, etc? Do atheist take these as their flock? Do atheists, humanists, etc. take any responsibility for the horrors of the world?

We all are responsible - even you Buddhists and Hindi out there - you have militants as well.

What do we say then is the standard of conduct? What moral code applies to those who have strayed from our Western view of morality?

It's nearly impossible to turn back these 'extremists' from their brain-washed ways of thinking. And while I'm not "my brother's keeper", I still find that I need to try to help these misguided people to see that their terrorist acts are wrong.

have you ever easily looked as though it would see what liberals and moderates are asserting, or did you purely assume that if it wasn't shoved on your face, they did no longer say it? And what makes you think of conservatives may well be stopped by way of what liberals and moderates say? and finally, how is it no longer prejudiced to assume somebody has an identical opinion with the conservatives in the event that they do no longer talk up? Are you threatening to be prejudiced in the event that they do no longer? What does that say approximately you?

just like anyone of an opposite belief....we're all fruits, but some of us are apples and some are oranges...the apples are going to say the oranges aren't "true" to the fruit-dom when the oranges tell the apples to calm down...

add: how the hell did i get a thumbs down???? IT'S THE TRUTH!

I've already answered this question twice, but I figured I'd answer it again, only this time with a Chinese accent.
