If sheis only 10 weeks along, don't worry it happens all the time especially around the time her period would have been due. If it happens again, or is bright red blood and accompanied by cramps or any type of pain get her to go to the doctor to be on the safe side. This happened to me at around 11 weeks and I have a 2 year old now. Congratulations!!

Depending on how far along she is, it could've been her mucus plug. (Women usually lose this towards the end of their pregnancy which signals that delivery isn't too far around the corner.) If she's still early on in her pregnancy, it could just be some leftover "stuff" from her insides in the preperation of a baby being inside. If it's that big of a concern, check w/ the OB/GYN and they can reassure you as to what the issue is. They'll probably want to schedule an ultrasound just to be sure everything's ok. Good luck!

It means she has a brownish discharge. If she thinks it is abnormal, see a doctor. I said if she thinks it's abnormal because different women experience different things "down there." Things men could not possibly understand. It may be a number of things.

It can mean anything. She could be getting the beginning of her period or anything related. Try going to your local drugstore and buy a pregnancy test. They might not be 100% accurate but they work most of the time. If her breasts are tender, she has morining sickeness/nausea, or has missed her period before, then chances are she is. But, brown discharge can mean more than pregnancy. Good Luck.

You didn't say how far along your wife is. If she is early in the pregnancy and it isn't heavy, it's nothing to worry about, just implantation bleeding, and this can happen long after the baby implants. If she is midterm, I really couldn't say what it is except to get her to the emergency room as soon as possible if it gets heavy. If she is close to being delivered, then just be ready, the baby is almost here.

Good luck!
