Before I answered, I wanted to make sure that what I had to say, hadn't already been said.
I found my answer in "Bizz"'s post.
I will echo Bizz in saying, Hamlin is competing very well as a sophmore in the major leagues. All he has to do is remember THAT, everytime he finishes a race, which is usually in the top five or ten. That's impressive!
He has to remember that his team is only as old as the time that he has been racing in the Cup. I am sure that JD Gibbs realizes that and JD probably forgives mistakes from a young team that is doing WELL!
Yes, Hamlin is coming across as a pouter. Just look at his face after a great finish. Pouting because he didn't win. I remember Carl Edwards and his memorable first year. That was followed by a sophmore slump. I never heard Carl complaining about his team or finishes, in general.
That is why we are having this discussion about Denny Hamlin and not Carl Edwards.

Now, now Children we are starting to sound like Jr. Fans in here. Now, TRUE Gordon Fans do not go around calling people whinny and gay, and all that other junior high level trash talking. Only Jr. Fans are that pathetic.
I like Denny, he is a great kid and a heck of race car driver. But, if I agreed with you (which I don't) and was to trash talk Denny I would do better then calling him a whiny little B&*%$.
Come on, the Dude has barely cleared puberty. He still gets carded for bubblegum. He needs a booster seat to see over the steering wheel. Last week his Dad taught him how to shave.
Point is, Denny is alot of things and there is plenty to bag on him about; but to take a line straight out of the Dale Jr. Fan trash talking manual (which is half a page long); come on.
Just be grateful that Denny has not turned into the cowardly, hot headed, paranoid nut job that his Teammate in the #20 car has become.
So Denny had a bad day. Let's be TRUE Gordon Fans and show a little grace and understanding.

Denny's not my favorite driver (Jimmie Johnson is) but he is definitely NOT a "Whiny little B*tch." He has led more laps than ANYONE in the COT races and led the most at Darlington. Due to a loose lugnut he cycled back on a pit stop and couldn't recover. He STILL charged back and got 2nd, with the best car in the race. Just because he was upset and said something about it does not make him whiny. If anything Gordon was MUCH more of a whiner when Jimmie wouldn't let him by at Martinsville. Did you forget how much Jeff was whining about running good but not winning earlier in the year? You have a very selective memory if you don't.

I wouldn't call him a b*tch, but he does whine.
Whoever calls Dale Jr whiny, you cant say denny isn't.
Jr has been happy with a 25th place finish for a lot of races, and Denny Hamlin has finished in the top 5 and whined every time.

While he did lose the race in the pits, he still finished second. He needs to be grateful for those top fives, as that's what wins championships. He's slamming on his crew, which isn't very cool. Granted, they did screw up....but he's also lost himself races for things like speeding on pit road. When his crew repeatedly screws up, and he makes no mistakes....maybe he'll have a leg to stand on. But his house has too much glass in it for him to be throwing the stones like he did yesterday.
The guy's in his second year and is acting like it's a catastrophe that he hasn't won a race yet this year. I understand that he wants to win and all, but he's doing really well for only being in his second season. Wait until he falls into a real slump (which he will sooner or later). He'll feel like an idiot for complaining about 2nd place finishes the way that he is.

With all that has happened this year on the CUPlevel Denny was well with in his right to say what he did.Had Wonderboy been in 2nd place with the same situation and no one did anything he'd cry to every media member and all the way to the NASCAR trailer.

I think Hamlin was quite right with what he said.
I didn't hear any whining. He's just frustrated because he's had the best car and his crew and himself keep handing away the wins.
