Make up is ok if applied sensibly and used in moderation ,,,, The application of make up is an art ,,,, The trouble with make up is that some woman or girl feels she has to cover her whole face up with it and hide behind it ,,,,
Make up should be used in moderation to enhance her features not cover them up ,,,,
He wants to look at her not Max Factor ,,,, It's either make up used sensibly or go with out ,,,,

As a rule of thumb, apply make-up lightly -- a little goes a long way.
Too much make-up can make you look like a clown or a raccoon.
As for eyeliner vs mascara vs lipstick (as in, which is better), you do realize that guys are normally not that detail orientated, don't you? It is the overall look that we notice, not the minute details. Step back and look at the big picture in the mirror, and forget the details, and you will see what a guy notices.
Like I said, a little is better than too much. BTW, wearing too much foundation is usually more obvious than wearing too much lipstick or too much eyeliner (your face has a larger surface area than your lips, so it is easier to notice).
Having said that, a zit is, ironically, less noticable more often than not if you simply leave it alone, rather than trying to cover it (makes people wonder what you are trying to hide).

Ignore what most guys say, wear a reasonable amount of makeup but don't obsess over it.
I can summarize things like this. Guys would prefer a girl who is a '10' with no makeup to a girl who is a '10' with makeup. So they tend to answer this question 'I prefer a natural girl'. But that's NOT the option facing women. The real option for a given girl might be '8 with makeup, 6 without'. Try going out both ways, see which gets hit on more.
Stay with makeup, just don't go overboard or be obsessive about it.
I think the best analogy is asking women 'do you like guys who spend a lot of time in the gym'. I think most women prefer a fit muscular guy who spends no time in the gym, but who is just 'naturally active' and has a great body. Again, the choices facing most guys 'fat and overweight or spend time in the gym and look better'. Best answer is probably to hit the gym, but have other interests, don't make the subject of every conversation with your gf 'so, I was totally wailing on my pecs today'.

I prefer the more natural look. or even no make up at all.
For a formal date, party or an important meeting something light is ok. I hate the heavy make up and too much lipstick.
Other thing is that many girls have no clue about how use make up without looking like a clown or like a cheap prostitute (besides some of them don't know that diferent skin & eye colors need diferent make up combination) ; they need to get some tips at a salon expert or from magazines.

I think it depends on the girl. Some girls look good with make up on, as long as they don't put too much on that is. But I feel that if a girl is naturally beautiful, she shouldn't put make up on cause all it would do is cover up her natural beauty.

I think a truly beautiful woman doesn't need any makeup. True beauty comes from within. Besides, too much makeup makes a woman look cheap and easy.
