You can make a paste of water & granulated sugar to rub gently over your face to sweep away dead skin cells.

Honey is a good humectant & has antibacterial properties. For a gentle exfoliating mask, mix 1/4-1/3 cup plain whole milk yogurt w/ 1-2 tblsp. of honey & a bit of ground oatmeal. Layer it over your face, leave it on for 20 minutes & rinse w/ cool water. Rub gently as you rinse it off. The lactic acid in the yogurt & the scrubbing action of the oatmeal will remove skin flakes. The honey will help sooth & moisturize your skin.
