I'm 17 and would like to gain some work experience.
I would be interested in handling any administrative work, any simple or menial task in any known company, showroom, etc.
It doesnt have to be a paid internship, I jus need a reputable name and some experience.
Any idea what should I look at and where to start?

You did not say where you are but with school soon to be out, check with your various public agencies.

Most goverenmental agencies have a policy of hiring summer and full time interns on basic level jobs. These jobs are often tailored around any school hours but can actually provide both experience and a decent salary.

Besides City and County jobs (I am writning this with a United States based viewpoint), don't forget to check quasi-public agencies such as the Water and other Utilitiy agencies, Sanitary and Waste treatment facilities, and State and Federal offices.

In each case call, contact, or visit the web site for the human relations department and see if they have a program and what is open (sometimes there are qualifiers such as : must be enrolled in an engineering or xxxx program for a job in the engineering or xxx department).

Quite often these jobs are underadvertised and sometimes go with only a few applicants. Some, however are valuable plums (great experience and high salary) and the turnout is huge for a few jobs, so be prepared.

good luck.....................................
