Hombre y mujer= man and woman.
Novio y novia= boyfriend and girlfriend. You use it in wedding ceremonies but in the plural form (los novios).
Prometido y prometida= fiancé and fiancée.

So you should use "los novios" before the ceremony, and "los recién casados" after the ceremony.

Bride and groom = novia y novio (together they are "novios")

hombre y mujer = man and woman

Prometido y prometida = (when they are engaged) fiancé and fiancée

novio y novia. is the correct way of saying it.

humbre y muyer is man and woman

prometido y prometida is when the female, though i have never heard it for the man, are in engaged or pinned.
