I have really bad Arthritis in both my knees and have to have surgery but my Dr recommended an OTC for me and I didn't think to write it down or ask him to and I have Kaiser so it' shard to call my Dr anyhow the medicine starts with a G anyone out there know what the name of the medicine is?

Could he have been referring to Glucosamine Chondroitin (I think that is the spelling!). That is an OTC medication that acts as a lubricant for the joints and often helps ease arthritis pain for people. It is NOT a pain killer -- you will find it with the vitamins.

OTC would probably be Aleve.
