"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

What would stop Satan from being saved? What if Satan repented?

So you say Satan doesn't have free will then? In that case, who's directing him?

Halleluiah! Satan is saved!

Wait, does Satan count?

Mere belief is ruled out by the Greek behind this verse: it's the same word that is elsewhere translated OBEY.

God did NOT have a plan of redemption for the angels, so those who sinned are lost. We are a demonstration of God's righteousness in that we have not seen Him (unlike them) and yet we obey and believe in spite of often horrific circumstances. They have seen God and yet disobeyed. Satan will not repent, so don't waste your time. You might as well ask, "What would happen to geometry if circles were square?"

James 2: 19 states: "You believe there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shutter."

There's more to salvation than just believing in Jesus. John 17: 3 states: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent forth Jesus Christ."

Satan is a perfect spiritual creature, whom no forgiveness is granted. Just as Adam and Eve were perfect. Jesus as a perfect man, bought back what Adam lost for mankind, giving us the chance for and our sins to be forgiven and the chance for everlasting life. "The Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his soul a ransom in exchange for many." Mark 10:45

Hi Meat,

Saved is such a varied word. To the mainstream Christian world it means to be resurrected. Since Satan has never been granted a body and is not mortal he will will not die in a physical sense and therefore will never be resurrected or "saved". Beside for Satan, being saved as Christians refer to it would really be hell wouldn't it?!

1) believe has several words in Greek. the one there refers to a continual state of the acceptance and trust.

2) Satan knows, but he'd never say Jesus is Lord. Satan isn't of God. the Bible says to test the spirits, and any that doesn't acknowledge Jesus Christ as it's Lord and Savior isn't of God.

3) angels are different from humans. in the Bible, it says that a being's final state is how it stays in eternity. angels final state when they choose, as well, they were created into service and were already in Heaven, so they had to either choose to stay or get themselves kicked out. man's final state comes at his death; if he dies in sin, he stays in sin; if he dies with Christ, he stays with Christ. God, being eternal has one state, and therefore is Holy always.

4) there is no repentance for angels. repentance is limited to life, and those who chose death as their final state can't repent.

That is what happens when you isolate one scripture and intrepret it without reading or understanding what else is in the Bible. Some people seem to think John 3:16 is the only verse in the Bible. And logically speaking, if you just read that scripture, you're right it does sound like that.

Satan was a cherub before his fall. Repentence is not available to angels. So no, Satan doesn't have a chance.

The Master was talking of human beings and Satan is not a human being and never was.

I have no clue, but it just says your life with be eternal if you believe in the Son...it does not say where you will spend it.
