Religion without God? Maybe association. But I would not have a problem if one wants to call it religion. Tax exemption? Well, you can have a tax exemption if association or non-profit business is established. But if yo want to give money for example to the Red Cross you can deduct that from your taxes. They cannot give that tax exemption if you/one do no give money though.

It already is a Religion, the one that Strongly Opposes GOD, and You Oppose GOD you get NO Government surplus I know Our Government NO Business giving our Tax-Payer Dollars to Faith and Religious organization, That's why our Government Needs to do Give Tax-payer Dollars to People that Condemn GOD.
Remember Separeate Church and State, Elected Officals and Religious Leaders Can't help Each other that's a Violation of Church and State, and Since we Condemn the Church, the State Must look and Reward US Atheists because We Keep the State Separeate from the Church.

Well i don't know if not beliving in religion should be a religion, but the idea that a large group of people should be entitled to the same benefits of others is a good one, and i do believe that instead of religions and income seperation that America should do the "american" thing and give all US citizens the needed tools to be successfull reguardless of Age, Sex, religion, Sexual Orientation, Race, or any other form of seperation that our Gov. uses.

I'm down for some tax exemptions and meetings as long as there will be live versions of the drinking game.
Just say no to dogma.

There are de facto religious bodies that don't involve a belief in God. One that comes to mind is Ethical Culture. So far as I know, they enjoy all the benefits and exemptions of conventional churches, etc.
Edit: Also, let's not forget religions like Buddhism or Jainism that either don't believe in God/gods, or regard their existence/nonexistence as irrelevant.

I think we should set up tax exemptions and such, as an atheist, I PERSONALLY set myself up as my own god, not in a narcissistic kind of way, like in a "master of my own fate" kind of way. That gives us [atheists] hopefully some common ground, so we could have alters to ourselves; tax exempt temples to worship said gods and goddesses.... that gives me an idea, build a big church, with a wet bar, a tittie bar, a salon/day spa, a little coffee shop, and call it "the first church of ourselves" HAH! I realize this is more satanist in view, but I feel that most atheists could agree on those hedonistic views, hell who do they have to answer to, but themselves? And if you dont like the FCO, dont go!

Nope, it's not a religion. If we atheists agreed on more as a group, maybe. But the only thing that unites us is the belief that there is no god.
