Woman's right my a#%, If you can't handle the consequences, keep your pants on, abortion is not an alternative birth control method.
Please realize that the above statement is not directed at the 3 or so % of women who get abortions for other reasons.

I'm sorry, I've never heard that one. Did you come up with it yourself?
I believe that abortion needs to remain safe and legal. That it is up to women to determine what happens to their bodies.
I don't believe that abortion is a viable method of birth control. There are so many other, safer, less expensive and less painful ways to prevent a pregnancy.
It doesn't make sense to use abortion as a birth control method, it is far too painful.
Your statement "abortion saves lives..." may well be an oxymoron in that it doesn't make any sense.
But that doesn't mean that abortion shouldn't be a choice for women in difficult situations.
There are so many reasons that include the health of the woman as to why she would have an abortion. Who are you to judge or pass judgment on others.
Are you SO perfect that no fault can be found in you. No you aren't perfect. We all have our faults.
Why not trying to get a life of your own and staying out of other people's business? Hmmm?

It does sound rather paradoxical but it can save lives, as other people have said, in the cases of risky pregnancies [IE ectopic pregnancies. If you could find me a pro-lifer who'd risk an ectopic pregnancy... we'll, I'd be tempted to either call her mental or a martyr for her cause].
Ultimately, abortions end more lives [depending on your definition of life, I tend not to think of fetuses as alive per se] than it saves, and yes its horrible and not very nice, but the real world is full of ugly things which are unfortunately necessary.
I think we could do without the debate because having an abortion is not an easy thing for a woman to have to do, and I expect going through a guilt trip is not helpful.

No... "military intelligence" is still the biggest oxymoron. Abortion can save the mother's life in many cases and often can prevent a child being born into huge amounts of suffering before dying a horrible death... so you tell me... I'm just not pushing my views of morality on others...

On some circumstances it does yes. If it is a danger to the mothers life either mentally or physically.
Risk to the mothers health.
Rape or incest.
Fatal fetal abnormalities.
These make up 3% of abortions the other 97% are using abortion as a means of birth control. There is no justification for that.

Well, if the mother would die from having the baby, and she gets an abortion, then yes, abortion did save a life. Albiet, at the expense of another.
There are MUCH bigger and better oxymorons, trust me.

I suppose it could...
I think the biggest mistake is thinking that it is a black and white issue with a simple right or wrong answer.
I had an idea once though, to hang out with the abortion protesters outside the Planned Parenthood clinic near my apartment with a sign that read "Homosexuality Prevents Abortion"

It's not an oxymoron at all.Even the most ardent pro-lifer will tell you that some women run the risk of dying while attemping to give birth,in fact that happens EVERY DAY.Sometimes,a pregnancy needs to be terminated for the safety of the Mother.Sad,but true.

No... because there are many ways that two people can die due to pregnancy, the mother and the child.
By aborting the child, you save the mother.
In other words... the only oxy"moron" here is you.

I agree. It sounds like pro-abortion bumper-sticker "wisdom," that you're meant to see quickly and not think about.
The number of abortions per year versus the number of pregnant women's lives in danger is just not an issue. Nor does any legislation say that if you must save one, save the baby and kill the mother.
Edit: Statements like eckzl below, that life is worthless to an unwanted child make my skin crawl.
