Well if it was for sure pure bred then you would have paid a breeder for it and you would have recieved papers. Other then that you never will know for sure. And who care anyway she is your baby. She is also very cute who cares about pure bred as long as you love her

As for the bonding that is all in how much time you spend with her, and how you treat her. Mostly when they are puppys you need to spend alot of time with them to form that bond.

Did she come with AKC papers? That's the best way to tell.

To be honest though even though she is simply adorable I don't think she is a pure bred Chi. I have 4, (2 long coats 2 short) and she does not look anything like them. As long as you love her that's all that matters.

She probably will follow you around a lot. Small dogs like to be with people, but you can;t make them do it. 2 of mine follow me everywhere. The other 2 do sometimes... usually when they think it's food time or they want a treat. It does not mean they don;t love you. They are just a little more indipendent.

i have a chihuhua terrier mix and she follows me everywhere all you have to do is spend a lot of time with her when i got my baby i spent the first 5 months straight with her and i love her but she can really get in the way being my shadow as for if your puppy is full bred i have no idea but she is the most cutest puppy i have seen in a while what is her name.

dogs can show human emotions my dog does so dont give up hope.

What a cutie! Did you get papers on her? If not, then who cares whether she is purebred or not. She is absolutely beautiful. If you want her to be your shadow, follow you, etc. then you are going to have to train her to do it if she doesn't already. My pup (7mos) hasn't left my side since I've had her. I know that it has nothing to do with her love for me though. It has to do with the pocket of treats I carry around. It's still good to have her around me all the time though.

She is a beautiful puppy!

With lots of love and tender loving care she will become very attached to you.

Now, about being purebreed...by the picture I can tell she is not. That does not mean it will not be the best pet in the world. She just wants to be loved!

She is only considered pure breed if her parents both have paperwork...then you can register her. Does it really matter though...sounds like she's great no matter what. Don't forget to get her spayed. She won't get many cancers if she is, and you will have her longer!

Oh, and dogs don't "love" like humans do. They can develop a bond though based on trust...trust that you take care of medical needs, protect her with flea medication, feed her, excercise her, and give her attention.

She doesn't really look like a pure bred to me! Her nose is a little thick! But I'm no expert!

If you love her , what does it matter anyway? Is it going to change anything?

If you love your dog, and treat her right, she will always want to be with you!

there are only 2 ways to be positive that your dog is pure breed

1. you were given a copy of the sire's and dame's pedigree and you were given litter registration papers
2. you can get the puppy dna tested. (there are links on the akc website for dna tests)

Also, dogs have their own personalities, so your dog my not ever be your shadow if they don't wan to.

I don't know if your dog is a purebred but as for you wanting her to be your shadow, that's up to the personality of the dog. You can't MAKE your dog do anything, and if she doesn't want to be your shadow, it ain't gonna happen. Just appreciate your dog for who she is and she will do the same for you.

You are trying to get your puppy to show human emotions, they won't.

If it is a pure breed ... do you have AKC papers? If not, wait until the puppy has had puppies, do they look like Chihuahuas or not?
