That sucks - it sounds like an abcessed tooth.

Though if the dentist can't find anything, then it might be neurological or something - maybe check with a doctor (gets expensive quick though).

HELLO,

IF THIS PAIN IS ALSO ON TE BOTTOM IS CAN'T BE YOUR SINUSES BECAUSE THERE ARE NO SINUSES IN THE LOWER JAW. SINCE YOU ALSO DO NOT HAVE HOT/COLD SENSITIVITY IT WOULD NOT BE RECEDING GUMS. BECAUSE IT HAPPENS WHEN YOU EAT IT MAY BE WISDOM TEETH COMING IN, USUALLY BETWEEN THE AGES OF 17-24, OR IT MAY BE FROM THE TMJ, (TEMPROANDIBULAR JOINT). IF EATING, WHICH MEANS CHEWING, THEN THE TMJ CAN BE A REASON FOR THE PAIN. THE SECOND PROBLEM MIGRAINE HEADACHES.
A SOLUTION IS A BRUXISM APPLIANCE CALLED AN N.T.I.-TSS APPLIANCE. THESE ARE MADE BY YOUR DENTIST AND THEY ARE MADE SPECIFICLY FOR YOUR MOUTH AND CAN'T BE BOUGHT IN A STORE.
READ MORE ABOUT IT BELOW. I'VE MADE THIS FOR MANY OF MY PATIENTS WITH OUTSTANDING RESULTS.

Toothaches are painful but can be prevented
by take suitable precautions. Avoid eating
food which will result in the formation of acid
in the mouth, brush teeth regularly with a fluoride
toothpaste. I found the information at

Another possibility is it has something to do with your sinuses. A sinus infection can mimic a toothache, if bad enough the pain can refer from top to bottom (usually have lots of sinus trouble if this is going on). Other possibility is if it is a wisdom tooth/teeth sometimes they can be putting pressure on nerves and having them removed can help.

It could be an ear infection as the nerve from your jaw runs passed your ear. I would advice you if the dentist can not find any problems then your doctor will be able to advice you.
