Normally, I would go off about trusting this book (The Bible), but I have read and researched "The DaVinci Code". Anyone who thinks its is based in fact is a moron. Do a little fact checking, people!!

It makes more sense to believe what actually makes sense and to question BOTH. However, the Da Vinci code IS FICTION and anybody that thinks it isn't needs to look where it is located in a bookstore.
FYI: Archaeology proves AND disproves many of the aspects of the Bible. Just because people have trusted it for thousands of years does NOT mean that it is 100% accurate, and the relatively modern phenomenon of taking the Bible literally is a distortion of the way the Bible was meant to be used. Actually, if you know the REAL history behind the Biblical accounts, the book becomes vastly MORE interesting! For example, the part where it was said that Lot slept with his daughters was written by his enemies! Did you know that? The stories "behind" the Bible make the book even richer in content.

Why believe either?
BTW 'The DaVinci Code' started out a a book and has always been claimed as a piece of fiction by the author.
Why believe something just because it has been around for a long time? The Odyssey and the Iliad have been around just as long, why not worship Zeus?
Or is it the number of believers? Along the lines of 10 million lemmings can't be wrong.?

There are enough extra-Biblical confirmations *and* internal integrity and consistency in the 66 Books of the Bible for other Christians I know and for my wife and me to believe the inspired Word of God!
If you look at the spine of the book, "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown, I think you shall find it is classified as "Fiction" or "Mystery", not as "History" or "Non-Fiction"!
How may people would believe enough in a lie to die for it? Even enough to die a martyr's death, if they were promised they would be spared if they would renounce their faith?
I suppose there are many Atheists, Secular Humanists, Evolutionists, Wiccans and other scoffers on Yahoo!Answers who want to grasp at the straw that the Origin of the Species, the Da Vinci Code, the Koran, the Book of Mormon, etc. are true, rather than the truth of God's Word, the Bible. However, ". . . we will all stand before God's judgement seat. It is written: '"As surely as I live." says the Lord, "every knee shall bow before me; every tongue will confess to God."'" (Romans 14:10b,11) and "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:10,11)

What the crap?
See this is why I hate Dan Brown, he mixes some fact with some truth and gets everyone really confused. I've seen people asking "Are CERN selling anti-matter? Why can I buy some?".
It's almost as bad as the Daily Mail. Anyone who believes either is kidding themselves. To be honest the Bible is not a particularly good historical source though.

Actually it wouldn't make sense to believe in some book that the vast majority of people don't believe in.
For example, there is this book of fairly tales called the bible. Less than 1/6 of the population on this planet believes in the fairy tales contained inside. So, obviously it's a bunch of nonsense that a majority of weak-minded ignorant pathetic lazy-minded people believe in.

What is real is that mankind traditionally followed any quandary of different forms of "THE WAY" to try and shelter themselves from the intense fear of this great unknown and misunderstood existence we live. Only now are we as intelligent beings beginning to realize the real and non fearful
truths of our common sharing of this marvelous and deep experience called life. As we continue to grow and learn the answers of life realizing they are not fearful but rewarding we outgrow the need for religion and begin a true understanding of the nature of God.

The sensible thing is to believe in Facts and to find facts you have to use logic.
if millions of people believe in Bible with out using logic and facts to check that it is error free, then they are blind.
If you check the movie, the producer is trying to show the errors in the book. but he him self made lot of errors in producing the real picture
