I am in a Wedding in June and my dress is light purple. My dates hair is red... I was wondering what color of shirt I need to get him for the wedding? Anyone know what would go good with both his hair and my dress?

I would say green or yellow. Yellow is opposite purple on the color wheel and makes a nice combo. Green and purple also go nicely together. My neice has red hair and she likes to wear a lot of green and yellow and it looks nice with her fair skin and red hair.
The tone of the colors should match. For instance, if your dress is light purple, his shirt should be a light shade or if your dress is more jewel toned, his should should be jewel toned as well.

I have only ever gone out with redheaded men. If your dress is light purple, you have to keep him bland. You dont want you guys to clash like crazy. Keep it simple. If he is wearing a suit, keep the dress shirt white or black or a royal blue. Keep it as basic as possible. How red is he? Carrot red, or like Dale Earnhardt Jr red?

Be wary of certain shades of pink, red and orange-they can clash with your hair, although you really need to try stuff on to see what clashes with your specific hair color. Teals, greens, bright blues, purples, basically any deep jewel tones will go really well with your hair color.

purple looks HORRIBLE with red hair. It clashes really bad, kinda like hot pink does. So i guess your best bet would be white, or a mint green (looks really good with red hair). Yellows are good too. Just remember pastels, not bright colors.

I'd say stick with blues or neutrals. Blue would complement your dress and look good with the red hair. Otherwise white and gray are safe.

my sister is a red head and she always looks good in green and light blue...the right shade of either would go with a light purple dress.

My first thought was a rich gray. It looks great with purple and with red hair. Black or white would always work as well.

Yellow looks especially good on the redheads in my family, and a light yellow looks good with light purple!

Nothing looks sharper than a man in a nice suit with a crisp white shirt. What you shuld be worrying about is the color of his TIE, which I would get a complimentary color, Navy is always nice.
