Just watch the cat and try to get an image of his/her personality over time. Check out names on websites like http://www.babynames.com and http://www.babynamesworld.com and see if there are any names where the meaning fits your cat. Eventually, you'll just hit on something you'll really like and the name will stick.
Cross reference pop culture sources, as well, as these can be invaluable when searching for pet names. Cartoons, comic books, movies, Greek and/or Roman mythology, astronomy....all can be places to extract really cool names.
