It seems like I get more dates when I am cocky and slightly insulting to a woman when I like her, but as soon as she gets to know me better and my natural nice guy personality emerges she loses intrest. Why is this ?

They like a challenge...especially the younger the woman is.
And bad boys give them a challenge. A "nice guy" that puts a woman on a pedestal is not a challenge. You have seen "Romance" novels in book stores yes? Romance novels are FANTASY books for women that addresses their deepest desires towards men. The typical story is mean-ruthless-heartless man goes around being mean and ruthless. Then he meets the heroine. Then with love, the chick wins the heart of this mean-ruthless-man and finds out he is really a very loving man. Blah-Blah-Blah...The end... Don't put women on a pedestal. Tease them, joke with then, and have fun with them. When women get to be 30+, they appreciate nice guys a lot more than they do when they are younger...

Maybe you need to look for a different type of girl., I prefer the nice guy with the bad boy side. And I have been with him for 3 years. I am sure there is someone out there for you how will love you for who you are not how you act.

Some girls prefer the "thrill of the chase" & the challenge of "training" a bad guy & taking credit for making him a better person. As we get older & more mature, most of us do change our thinking & realize that the nice guy is a lot less work & really what we wanted all along.

women who want those bad boy types are not looking at them for relationship material. They know it wont last and perhaps that is the attraction.
I prefer the nice boys, as do most rational, mature, relationship seeking women. My current boyfriend is amazing. He showers me with compliments and is so sweet. It forms a bond of trust and love and that is how true relationships work and last.

Obviously you're not connecting with the right women. I don't know why a woman would want to be treated badly. I will say however, that, if you become a pushover or come across as being weak, it could be a turnoff. Women would like to know that their man is sensitive but that he is also strong enough to lean on...especially in tough times.

I think every girl is different but for the most part they want someone whos nice to them but still tough and manly at the same time. Of course some women love the' badboy' types but they usually end up learning their lesson.

Stay away from the girls who like bad boys Relationships there will never last..Find a girl that like nice guys. Do you really want to treat women badly???...I think it"s worth the wait fot a date who likes to be treated well .Never lower your standards, and I think in the long run, you'll be glad you did. I'm attracted to all manners of men. That doesn't mean I'd ever consider any sort of relationship with all of them. It means I like what I see only. As for the type of man I would like to be involved with, I like someone like my current boyfriend: he's a gentleman with a bit of a wicked streak.

somewhere in the middle is best.
A cocky guy is a challenge, once a girl has him the interest is gone, hence the loss of interest.
