I'm atheist so not in a church. My family lives in england (whole family except for immediate) and my boyfiends family lives in hawaii & cali. All my friends live hear in WA state. I haven't got the money to fly people from different parts of the world/country, so it'll have to be in WA. I love the beach and if I had the money i'd marry in hawaii. I picture a beach with a grass lawn behind (were reception is held). Any ideas?

Hey! I'm getting married in Washington too! :]
When is your date? Congrats! I've been searching for a place too, and it's kind of hard since we are getting married in December and outside is an obvious no way, we're also atheist so a chruch is out of the question! But, if your looking for outdoors / beach scene, I know someone who got married on Alki Beach in Seattle. BEAUTIFUL VIEW & beach! I totally recommend it!! Congrats again!

My wife & I were married in a church in Gig Harbor, but we had the reception on a boat. I'd recommend chartering a boat, have wedding and reception on board. Cruise around Puget Sound.

We lived in Gig Harbor and found a boat to charter out of Tacoma - it was ~70 feet long. We accommodated about 70 guests a two person live band, catered finger food. It was great fun.

I would say to travel all over the Seattle area. There are plenty of great places in Washington. Also down the Oregon coast. Ask your friends where a place would be that they would like to get married. Maybe they know of some good places. I live in Washington too, and there are good places all over the state.

What about the San Juans? I think it would be wonderful to have a wedding on one of the islands!
