God helps those who turn to him for help. You must understand that being a Christian is not about winning the lottery. We may not always like the "help" God gives us or we may forget to recognize the help that is there. God expects us to take action ourselvevs as well, whether we are the ones needing help or we are the ones who know someone in need.

Hard times fall upon almost everyone car trouble in the middle of nowhere when another vehicle stops and a friendly person gives you a ride to the next town. Friendly person or hand of god? Jesus said we " Christians " are all parts that make up a larger body.

God's help is a sore subject for many people!
Here are a few things to chew over:
1. God is merciful and open to the cries of the oppressed. He does not always help them.
2. God opposes the proud, but sometimes instructs them in a manner which leads them to repent.
3. God is sovereign, and helps only in accordance with His will, and only in accordance with the best outcomes.

A barge knocked into a railroad bridge at three in the foggy morning, and kinked the tracks; and the barge captain didn't know it was a bridge he'd hit, and didn't report it.
In Georgia thirteen years ago. The passengers of the train that derailed, most of them were injured and killed, and presumably God had known the rail line was kinked, I mean isn't he supposed to know stuff like that?
And think of all the loved ones.
Does this answer your question?
If you think there's a God, in this case he didn't do a damn thing.
There is no end to the idiots who believe in God.

God does both. He helps those who can't help themselves and then he will let some figure things out on their own so that something can be learned by it.

If God exists i do not think he helps anyone.
I wonder why he should help someone for example from a car accident ,and then let the other people die in the same accident..
Why if two people are dying of cancer,is he going to help one and then let the other die, assuming they were both good Christians.......that is something i do not understand

IF U NEED HELP AND U LOOK TO GOD FOR HELP THEN HE'LL HELP U....BUT IF U DONT SEEK GODS HELP AND U TRY HELPING URSELF U'LL SOON FIND OUT U'R GONNA FAIL. SO LOOK TO GOD FOR AND LET HIM DO ALL THE WORK CUZ TWO PEOPLE CANT WORK ON THE SAME THING AT ONCE....JUST LIKE TWO PEOPLE CANT SIT COMFORTABLY IN ONE CHAIR. LET GOD SOLVE UR PROBLEMS HE ALWAYS KNOWS WUTS RIGHT.

God helps those who need His help. God won't fetch the remote off the chair next to you, you can do that yourself.
people do what people can do, God does what people can't do (please use in context)
