determine your BMR then divide that by 24 and that's how many calories "your" body burns at rest. ie. computing, desk work, sitting, watching tv, light house work etc.,

Sorry, but can not answer the question. Why? Because each individual genetic is different, and what you do while you are sitting at the desk makes a HUGE difference. For example if you sat and did a lot of typing, you would burn more calories than those who were sitting at the desk, but reading or not moving any body parts. This may sound silly, but its a clinically proven fact.

The average person doing nothing like sitting at a desk or watching tv burns about 70 calories an hour.

Well if you just sit there and don't really do anything, you probably burn more calories in your sleep. You also have too many variables to really know how many you burn.

Your metabolism is the biggest thing, if you have a fast metabolism then you'll burn more than others would. Also, if you are moving around, opening drawers, doing some work, you are going to burn more than just staring at my answer here.

Depends on how much muscle that you have...If you have one pound of muscle than you burn an extra 50 calories a day just to maintain that pound (also muscle takes up less space) That is why having muscle is so much more benefical than crash dieting...

Calculate your BMR...BMR (Basil Metabolism Rate) is the amount of calories you burn by sleeping all day...just add more to it to figure in eating and typing i guess...here are the calculations
English BMR Formula
Women:
BMR = 655 + (4.35 x weight in lbs) + (4.7 x height in in) - ( 4.7 x age in years)
Men:
BMR = 66 + (6.23 x weight in lbs) + (12.7 x height in in) - (6.8 x age in year)
