You need only the call of God and recognition by a believing body of Christians. The ordination of man is worthless under today's economy, and it would do you some good to look at how elders arose in the time of the New Testament authors lives.
Here are some helpful resources about the history behind this, but as far as your ordination is concerned, absent the recognition by the body of Christ, it means nothing.

You cannot be a legitimately (that is the operative word) ordained minister without going to seminary...at least in the churches I have had experience with. Some churches do have a lay minister program and in some cases you may become an ordained LAY minister.
Go to school.

There are no state or government regulations on what "ordination" is, each church controls it themselves. So if you look online, you can find "churches" that will give you ordination papers for a small fee ($35). But they would be totally useless for getting any kind of a church job.
The purpose of schooling is to get you the traning and/or experience you will need to work in or run a church. Any method that "ordains" you without those would be worthless. Some churches will allow you to earn an ordaination by working in the church (youth pastor, visitation, etc) but that often takes many more years then college.

John G, if you are sincere about this because you believe that God is calling you to do this (not for your own selfish reasons, but because this is a calling from God), then talk with your pastor. I'm sure he can tell you how to get ordained in your denomination.

I think you send ~$35 to the state. That's about it.
