How would I ask my friend, Manuel, out on date, in Spanish? Like, how would I ask if he wanted to go out and do something together sometime? He can speak English...but not a whole lot. I want to be able to ask him out in his own language. Ha ha. I could always wait for him to ask *me* out, but I don't want to (wait).

I agree with Laly, if you say ¿quieres salir conmigo? sounds like if you were asking him to go out with you as a couple.

I would simply say... "Quieres que tengamos una cita (algún dia de estos)" - "Do you wanna have a date with me (some of these days)" I think he may find it funny and...feel himself very flattered at the same time.
