What about when they are gone? Do you believe they will always be there for you? And when nobody is left who then do you call?
Honestly...and do not say you could be gone before them- I mean if you were still here on this earth and everyone you put your trust in is gone....for all flesh is like grass as the Bible says! And this life is temporary!

Well if all my family and friends are gone, then I guess I'll be alone and have to rely on myself, like I normally do anyway.

I come from a large extended family to the extent that 3rd and 4th cousins call each other cousins and consider ourselves close family so I will always have someone I can turn to. Life is temporary but just because it is do you honestly think that a person would lose everyone. I do have the ability to keep making friends and finding people I trust after all. I don't need an unproved entity for that.

And even through all that, I still even with others for support rely upon myself. Always have and always will.

Hmm, so the choices are: Rely on a nonexistent being and a bunch of people who also rely on the non existent being, rely on friends and family, or rely on my self?

But wait, do I really need to rely on anyone? I mean it's nice to belong to one or more groups and have people to talk stuff over with, but what am I really relying on them for?

Then (in that very bizarre place where *everyone* who you love & know is suddenly gone all at once & you haven't made any new human connections in life), you call on your inner strength, your memories of those you've loved and what they've taught you, your simple love of the world around you as it is, your hope that there will be more people out there who you will want to know & love.

I'd rely on inner strength, and if I didn't have enough to get me through I'd call on the Mother Goddess for strength, a lot of it since I'd probably be grieving with all of my friends and family gone.

Who do I call? I call myself. I rely on my inner strength and resources. Life is temporary, yes. And since you only get one shot, I try to live this life on Earth to the fullest.

Death is a part of life. Its the natural cycle. They move on and you stay here to learn your lessons. There is no saddness in that. You rely on yourself. You should always rely on yourself. People are here to enrich your life, not define it.

You are desperate for people -- specifically, atheists -- to answer "JESUS!", and it shows in the series of questions you ask here every day. You ask questions in a specific sequence, leading up to what you hope will be a light bulb going off for others, so that you can get your attagirl from your imaginary friend.

There is no god. People need to accept personal responsibility, and find a way to deal with crises. Sometimes, there is no clear solution, and saying that "God is there for me" provides nothing but false hope.

I know I'll get slammed for that, but I needed to say it.
