A person who has decided to believe in God once something has happened - they get good enough, for example, or they have more time, or the kids are gone, or...or...or...will never get to the point of believing. There will always be "one floor" or one circumsatnce, or one more obstacle before they get to the point where they are ready to believe.

It seems to be a atheist type quote, the floors mean parts of life, each floor is another stage of life so the 12th floor would be a latter stage of life then the 11th, so they are saying if you start believing in god on the 12th then you died on the 11th, meaning that your life is over or is wasted once you start believing in god, which coudln't be more wrong but thats what it means

it quite is no longer something! some quite 'clever trinitarians' in Hebrews a million:9 think of that God has a God (so as that must be 2 x 3). And if it quite is no longer sufficient God even has different 'companions', so what proportion Gods does that make and precisely which one has the authority? Hebrews a million:8,9 (New international version) 8But with regard to the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, will final endlessly, and righteousness may be the scepter of your kingdom. 9You have enjoyed righteousness and hated wickedness; consequently God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of exhilaration." it quite is what happens whilst trinitarians attempt to translate the Scriptures. so which you notice the trinity is clever...as long as you do no longer study the Bible!

Even though I never heard this one before, it would be someone's way of saying that if a person wants to eat, drink and be merry, without ever giving God a second thought and wait instead to do so at the last moment of his life... he just might find that it is too little too late; as just like in the days of Noah, there will come a time when it will apparently be just so!

well if you are jumping off a 12 floor buiding and expect god to save you by the time you reach the 11th floor it's to late to turn back and admit you made a mistake.... religion teaches us to think that way... mother nature says if you are stupid enough to jump off a 12 story building and expect no consequenses for your action then you deserve the death you get.

You might not make it to the twelfth floor, or the twelfth hour. Better to believe when there's still time.
