I'm sitting at work at my desk and my legs are bothering me. They only feel better when i stretch them out, but when I bend them, to get then under the desl, I get this sensation that goes through my whole body and I become restless because I can't keep my legs bent under the desk. It's been like this for a week now. I've tried stretching but as soon as I bend them again, it's the same thing. I don't know what to do, but I just can't sit at my desk anymore. HELP!!!

But could it still be RLS if my legs don't bother me when they're stretched out?

Your circulation is probably impaired because you sit so much. get up and stretch and walk around as often as you can. You may also want to wear support stockings or support socks which you can purchase from a surgical supply store. Prop up your legs on an under desk stool. Also, if your chair is not comfortable, ask your employer to provide you with one that has solid back and arm support. See your doctor also to check your blood to ensure you have no clotting.

it sounds like restless leg syndrome. its a condition in which the person with it experiences urges to move their legs when they are resting or trying to sleep. sometimes there can be pain associated with it. there are medicines availble to treat the symptoms of RLS however I would go to a health care professional to get a better insight as to what the condition is and possible treatment options.

talk to your doctor. It sounds like you have restless leg syndrome (RLS). There are many medications to treat this. I suggest you lean towards requip. it is the leading medication and will most likely help. I have RLS and have tried many medications and requip works the best.

Try drinking Tonic water it helps with circulation and switch chairs you may be pinching a nerve in the chair you are using. I prefer to sit on a Pilate's ball it really helps with the pressure. Good Luck!
