"Easier" isn't always better. How much easier would it be if everyone had the same culture, worldviews, gestures, mannerisms, practiced the same etiquette, ate foods prepared the same way, etc. I have no desire to ever see the peoples of the world homogenized and to lose the rich cultural histories and traditions. Language is intricately tied into culture. By eliminating the native languages, you will also lose key parts of that culture.
I like the idea of people being bi-lingual though. I simply don't want to lose the native languages.

How do you recover from 1000000000 chinese language to verify say English or very nearly 1000000000 in South usa to offer up Spanish or Portuguese. Then there are over 1000000000 in India who at the instant talk hundreds of languages maximum of that are unknown outdoors India. comparable issues exist during Africa. maximum in all probability is that English will stay the language of determination for the knowledgeable training and the business enterprise training. As third worldwide international locations advance they're going to make english necessary in colleges and english would be used interior the business enterprise worldwide, the country will stay twin language till at last the interior of sight language falls out of use. you will discover this happening between the interior of sight indians of North usa and to a lesser volume to the Aborigine tribes of Australia. I are looking forward to that finally the worldwide will talk a version of english besides the shown fact that that's going to take an extremely long term. Now getting the French, Germans, Italians and so directly to offer up their interior of sight languages is in simple terms yet another hurdle to be conquer. for particular there'll be opposition Ian M

Sure would make it easier here in Texas. I have people assume all the time that I speak spanish because I have dark hair. I wouldn't care what language it was if we could just all communicate effectively.

It's make life easier at first
But, after awhile - we will be getting bored & want to speak 'Strange Language' for its own sake
It might be fun though

Easier, but not nearly as interesting. That would be like saying that Algebra is the only mathematical language.
