Hello,

My girlfriend is 5'3 and is a curvy size 6(US 2) but she would like to lose some weight around her tummy.

Any ideas?

She does tone her tummy, by using excersise equipment that mimics sit ups. But it doesn't seem to tone up like she wants it to.

She eats well and drinks loads of water.

Any other ideas on how to lose the weight?

Cheers

P.S. This is not for me, to me she looks great as she is.

"if u think she looks great as she is then why ask??"

She asked me to, she has a issuse with her body not me. As her boyfriend I will do anything to help her feel as great as she looks.

She rarly eats sugary sweets, and has no more than he 5 fruits a day.

sit ups, crunches and etc will only make belly look bigger since there is more muscle underneath the layer of fat.
the only way to lose fat is by overall weight loss.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

For most women, the belly is where weight gain begins. We usually notice our pants getting a little tighter as the first sign of gaining weight. The good news is, it's also the first place it comes off.

My belly fat comes and goes with how much sugar I eat. I don't have a "beer gut", but I get a "sugar belly" pretty quickly. If I cut the sugar I feel slimmer around the waist the very next day and even better by the second day.

Also, exercise all the ab muscles - upper (sit ups, traditional crunches), lower (reverse curls, knee raises), side (side crunches on a body ball or on the floor).

You want the ab muscles to flatten, not round. Make sure this happens by exhaling while exerting the muscle, and inhaling while going back to the staring position.
