At my age sweetie, I have been given and offered second, third, and fourth chances. Usually, I am not slow to catch on where people are concerned.

We receive a second chance through the debt being paid by our lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe in forgiveness as Christ teaches,

yes in any situation but without the trust factor. example if a child molester repents before god. then god will except his repentance, so I must too. but it doesnt mean he should be trusted. because we cant see in the hearts of men like god, we cant truely know if they repent. or are seeking favor to hide further plans of evil. it is a worse evil too let a child molester near a defenseless child than have a child molester institutionised. infact if they cant control there perverted desires they should be castrated. and in fact if any child molester truely repented they would want to be castrated to totally remove that temptation from ever seizing them again. yes there should be forgiveness but also a response of repenting with obvious signs of that repentance before that can be established. we need to repent before god can grant us forgiveness. people whom dont repent wont find salvation. we need both the baptism of water and the baptism of fire to have salvation. repentance is a turning around 180 from our sin.

Matthew 18:21Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord , how oft shall my brother sin againest me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
18:22-- Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
This is a lot of second chances

Yep. why not? after all...........the mere fact that we are all compelled to "learn from our mistakes" must mean that there are second chances, or else there would be no point to learning from mistakes of the past.

Yes, because the first one will often teach a lesson. Very few people get it right on the first try.

Do a biblegateway keyword search for "forgive" or "love" etc....and you will find that God wants us to learn to "get up" after we have "fallen down".

Peace

Matthew 18:21-23
