You're having a quarter-life crisis. I'm 25 and going through something similar. Maybe you need a change of scenery. I know you don't have much money but maybe you can take a trip somewhere. Look for a new job, do new things, meet new people. But remember, try not to depend on others and work on yourself. Theres no rush to fall in love. These things can take time.

Eat some capt'n crunch and play guitar hero all night. Always makes me feel better.

I was diagnosed with dysthymia (a chronic, but milder form of depression) and generalized anxiety disorder a few years ago and through counseling I was able to overcome my depression and lead a much happier life. Have you tried counseling in addition to your medication?

I had trouble finding the joy in life, and it sounds you might, too. Almost everything you said was negative--you're unhappy with your job, love life, etc. Remind yourself of the good things you do have--whether it's family, friends, hobbies, etc.

Maybe you could take up a new hobby? I find art to be very therapeutic but there are many things you could do--such as taking a class or joining some sport.

I really could go on and on but you have to want to change your life for the better and make it a permanent thing. I wish you the best of luck and if you want someone to talk to, I'd be happy to give you my e-mail address.

I suggest doing something you like for a day that doesn't require money...just you or you and a good companion...a friend or family member...go to a park...just hang out at home...listen to music, dance, act a fool...do something that makes you smile or laugh...but to lift yourself out of your mood most of the time...do what worked and works for me...read AND study the Bible...look back on those in the past who have gone through trying times or life....one book that esp helped me was the Psalms with King David and others...but dont let your mood fester...do something about it quick...and if you have any questions get at me...smile :D

Umm you are 24, young! Don't be so hard on yourself it take time to sort life out, no magic wand. No money, a job and no love life, sound good to me. Try reading Sophies World, bet it will help you sort your rut out.

Most people just take it on the chin and go with the float. The only thing you can do is make the best choices in life and pray they get you where you want to be. If you want someone to talk to find someone that will listen.
