It's only relevant when people try to force their beliefs on others through legislation
Other than that, it's a placebo for some, others an annoyance

Debating and/or theorizing on the existence of a god is a very important thing for everyone to consider. Attempting to understand the nature of the universe is a unique ability that mankind has, and it's a worthwhile goal.
Unfortunately, I just wish everyone could be honest in this pursuit, and admit their shortcomings as they are exposed. Organized religion prohibits an honest discourse about these issues, to say nothing of its divisiveness, causing disagreement to the point of bloodshed. Luckily the atheist movement is picking up speed.
The organized religions are now being forced to contend with us, rather than each other. And the atheists' brutal honesty is going to force them to take a similar tack.

Haven't been reading much of what's written within this forum have you...... God is "relevant" to the faithful and just as much to the "unfaithful." On one side we the faithful find peace in the ways of the Lord, while the other side finds the need to knock it down. It's the ways of "humankind" and will never CHANGE........

I think it is really relevant to the individual person. If a person believes in God's existence then it is relevant to them in their daily lives.

It might be relevant if one really existed, but even then there's no reason to suppose it would make any difference to our lives - There's certainly no sign of any divine involvement in the world.

As a sensible count, it would exchange what's powerful and incorrect, for people who obey God's observe even although they can't attain the standards of the bible as a end based totally on human logic. Why obey the ten commandments, etc., if we are our very own choose? greater might scouse borrow, as an occasion, if the giver of that taboo is fictional, and no one sees all you do, and no one knows your evil ideas and motives! there are particular taboos that i might could re-examine, like international peace, mercy-killing, revenge killings, shortening the lives of handicapped and previous persons, abortion and suicide, according to one single solitary commandment..."thou shalt no longer kill". i comprehend some unbelievers will say Christianity is responsible of each and every of the evil achieved by so-observed as Christians on their thank you to hell. yet that's merely too illogical to waste our breath answering.. Expecially on the grounds that actual atheists Mao and Stalin carry the international record for homicide. it could be like asserting that each and every atheist is a unibomber with blood on his palms. My Lord Jesus Christ grow to be sinnless and harmless. yet He grow to be martyred for coaching the certainty. he's the "Prince of Peace", and there is not any peace in this existence without being at peace with the only residing God.

God should be an active part of your life TODAY. Just admitting that he exists is worthless. You need to love him, obey him, get to know him and try to be like him in every way.

Because God is an important topic. God is the reason we are here. That is probably why it is so relevant today. God bless!

He's especially relevant with all the immoral activity, school shootings, and generally messed up society. People fought to take prayer, bibles, any mention of God out of schools and public. Now we are paying the price.

Without God I would be in mess as I was when I was trying to become an atheist. I think those who love Jesus feels that way too. Without God...all I can see is desperation and hopeless people trying to make it on their own. =)
