FIRST: IF YOU ARE SERIOUS WITH THIS QUESTION, STOP SMOKING POT! POT MAKES YOU LAZY AND SLOWS EVERYTHING DOWN AND IT WON'T HELP YOUR DEPRESSION! You probably don't feel comfortable going to the gym but being around people is more fun than going at it alone. You could get a treadmill, but honestly, that quickly gets boring. Go to the local HS track or the park and walk. Being outside helps my mood. Get a hobby of some sort. That way, when you're bored, you can do something to occupy the time than eat (which is usually the first thing we do) Keep track of what you're eating. Try using healthy substitutes such as, when you want a burger, try using ground turkey. You can still have foods you enjoy, the key is moderation. There are so many diets out there but my success has always been counting calories and burning more than you are taking in... you can buy a pedometer for cheap and track the calories you burn. Good luck! You can do it and you'll feel so much better!

Hi there,
First of all i want to say that it's great that u r not giving in to depression coz if u do u will go on a vicious cycle where u ll eat to feel better then after a while feel terrible for giving up and start feeling depressed again and offcourse the only result is u will get fatter and fatter.
So to do it the right way consider the following:
1. Please see a doctor or nutritionist that can professionally help u with a diet plan that suites u and yr daily needs. U r still young so that's a positive thing, yr body metabolisum is high and accordingly will lose weight faster than an older person.
2. Let yr family and friends help u, try to have healthy foods around u all the time and eliminate anything that makes u weak like if u like sweets or junk food try to avoid them. Go out shopping or to the movies with yr friends, try to spend more time around people and not alone.
3. Go for a walk first, it is much easier than getting on the treadmill, the view, people u see will pass the time and u will actually walk further than on the treadmill. Later when u lose some weight u can start running on the treadmill.
4. Take it one step at a time, and put realistic goals so that u feel better when u achieve it and this keeps u motivated.
5. Join a gym and pay for one month in advance this will keep u motivated to go each day. Make friends over there and they will be something to look for everyday.
Finally, don't listen to that idiot who has nothing good to say and should just shut up.
Lots of hard work but u can do it.

A treadmill would be great. Or just start walking, little at first and work your way up. Walk the dog, walk as much as you can - park the car in the back of the lot- take stairs as much as possible ( start slow). Get some music with you when you walk. Start a food log - it is a pain. But it is amazing to see in print what you eat- look for patterns. Do you eat when you are sad, lonely, angry? Consider joining a weight loss group - Weight Watchers, etc. Shy away from fad diets - it will always come back. Even consider going to a bariatric physician ( they deal with all kinds of weight issues - not just weight loss surgery). Get a physical to make sure you are not diabetic, have high blood pressure or any other health issues. Ask about exercise. Drink lots of water. Make sure you talk to a physician about the depression. THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! No weight loss program will take this off quick and there will be setbacks. DO NOT GIVE UP -----IT CAN BE DONE!!! You have taken the first step now. It is up to you and you can do this. You are young. You have to committed to do this and be aware that you will slip up. Forgive yourself and keep going forward. Read the links below. Seek out reputable sources of information. Everyone seems to be selling a weight loss supplement, product or exercise gimmick ( as it has always been) - be wary. They can be hazardous to your health. Slow and steady weight loss is better and can be maintained. If you have other health issues and are more than 100 lbs overweight, look into weight loss surgery - lap band, gastic bypass etc. But remember - it is only a tool to weight loss. You still need the committment.
Get off the pot. It stimulates appetite and encourages lethargy.
Good luck!!!! DO not give up. Enlist your friends, write motivational messages on your bathroom mirror, be positive, find a small reward system for your self that does not include food - movie, small jewelry, book, music - whatever makes you happy. Lose 10 lbs and give yourself a prize. It won't be easy - but you are making a POSITIVE change in your life.

One start by keeping a journal of what u eat .
www.fitday.com is a great site. Its free. Here u can keep track of food u eat and it gives u a break down. When u go on the site make it your home page, so u have no reason to avoid it. It helps u keep track of your weight so forth so on.
Exercise at least 30 mins a day i would say for the first 2 weeks the after 5 days a week. Drink water, drink drink drink. Not your 8 glasses, but push for 16, I mean u cant go wrong with water lol . Next try to get a bud to check in with. If u would like im me. I started a diet 2day :). NOw as for the carbs, do replacements. Instead of rice try salad. Instead of ice cream try low carb and fat yougurt. Just replace things. If u find your selfe wanting it do something else. Once u start to shed the lbs u will b motivated. NEVER GIVE UP!! NOw a low carb diet is 20 carbs or less a day. If u love carbs so much try stareting with 30 for the first week the go down from there. Like i said fitday.com can help u to keep track. Well i wish u good luck and u can im me :)

Baby steps....start taking walks, even if its just down the street and back. Once you get comfortable with the walks, slowly increase how far you go. As you're doing this, start cutting back on the "bad" foods that you eat, not the amount. Once you've taught yourself to eat properly, then you can start regulating how much you eat. As time goes by, you'll notice a difference in how you feel, physically and mentally, in only a few weeks! Keep a diary of your weight goals (10-lbs per month is safe) and how you were feeling and what you ate on the days that you "slipped".
Don't give up and take it slow. It's not healthy or safe to lose the weight fast. It took time to gain it and it's gonna take time to lose it. I've lost 100 lbs. and I'm still working on it, it took me a whole year, but the time flew by and I feel great now. Good luck sweetie, I know you can do it!!

Hey, I just started working for a Public Relations company who was turned on to a new product called FBCx. It stands for Fat Binding Complexer and pronounced F-bex. I did some research and found it is an all-natural dietary fiber that is able to bind dietary fat. I was skeptical, as were some of the other people in the office (mostly women), until we started losing weight! A few people have lost over 30 pounds already and are raving about being able to fit into “favorite jeans” from 2 years ago. It’s really easy to keep up with too; you just take it with your 3 regular meals. If you want to do your own research or try it out for yourself www.fbcx.com has everything you need to know about it or you can ask the doctors who created it.

How about a program/system that is nutritous, good for you and is guaranteed that you are going to start seeing results right away? I have been on Isagenix for 6 weeks and have lost almost 25 pounds. I am 55 and feel 40. My "black cloud" is gone. My energy level is up. When you go to the website, it is filled with success stories as well as endorsements from nutritionists, authors, doctors and lots of people just like me who know this program works! Look at the videos from ABC and FOX network. They are now even showing these products on an airline video. Let me know what you think. Read all the information and get started now. Today can be the beginning of the rest of your long healthy life.

put on the most comfortable clothes for you, grab a bottle of water, and start walking slow.Walk everyday, don't over do it, when you start to get too tired, then call it a day. Don't give up and don't give in. You can do it and if you want it bad enough, you can achieve anything.Another thing, take a walkman or music of some sort, time flies when your walking and listing to music. Eat a good breakfast, a small lunch, and a small dinner, a snack every 2-4 hrs(banana, orange, etc) and no meals after 8pm, and you will notice a change in no time.Good Luck!!

Before you start anything, I would consult your physician and a nutritionist first. I would start walking first and doing stretching exercises and work your way up gradually in endurance, speed, and length of time exercising. Do what you can every other day and add 5 minutes each week until you are up 30/45 min-1 hr. You need to alter your diet also. I would do low carb or stick to lean protein sources, healthy fats (olive oil), fruits, and veggies. Eat six small meals per day at no more than 4 hour intervals. Drink at least 64-80 ounces of water per day. No soda unless it's diet. Limit it to 1 or 2 per day and make them caffeine free. No packaged processed foods. Eat fresh food and watch your sodium intake.

i'm so sorry your in this state of mind. It stinks being uncomftable in your own skin. specially with summer coming up. Treadmill will be a great way to start. I would def. do an incline of at least 3. No running quite yet. An incline is fine if not better than running. If you do this every day it will get you going.. you can even skip weekends. It will make you so happy though you might even want to work out on weekends.
