Isn't this like asking, "Why did God create iron ore if he didn't want me to make a gun and blow someone's head off?" There is a right use and a wrong use for iron ore, and there is a right use and a wrong use for marijuana. A right use for iron ore might be a surgical scalpel with which to save lives, and a right use for marijuana might be to reduce nausea in cancer patients or perhaps as an erosion control plant. A wrongful use of this is as a means of escape from the reality of life which God intends us to lean upon Him to deal with. In that sense, people who do this are substituting dope for God and it is idolaltrous!
The argument that says the bible doesn't say don't smoke weed is spurious; the bible also doesn't say don't stare at a laser pointer. It DOES, however, say that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and that you are not to defile the temple (see Romans 12.)
Lastly, the proper test for a Christian is not, "Can I get away with this," but, "Does this bring honor to my Lord?"
Hope this helps!
Tom

God created to help heal people the only thing sinfully about it currently is the fact that it is against the law. We're I live I can get myself a medical marijuana license and even though I'm a Christian I intend on doing that. Since I can do it with in the rules of the law it's ok. God made this plant with incredible benefits for people because it creates relief in a natural and to some extent healthy way. I would much rather smoke dope then use the pharmaceutical garbage doctors shove down people's throats. Also don't forget there's more then one way of consuming it you can take it orally as well which is better for your health however smoking is ok in moderation try using hemp wick if you prefer smoking it's alot better for you. The most acceptable time to smoke it is when your in need of immediate relief. This is God's medicine and even though he made it I'm sure he dosent want us over using it just like he dosent want us over drinking.

I'm not going to comment on whether smoking weed is right or wrong. I do think your argument for smoking it rings hollow however. He also created mushrooms and some of them will kill you if you eat them.

1) "weed" or marijuana is a drug like any other. it was originally used as medicine, to restore strength to a badly weakened body. however, because newer, more effective drugs came out and people began to unnecessarily smoke marijuana, it became simply drug abuse, as it's damaging to the lungs and even worse, to the brain.
2) anyone who says smoking it isn't morally wrong has a serious misconception. basically, as a Christian, cauing your Temple harm is a sin, malicious/ulawful killing (murder from second hand smoke, suicide from smoking it) is a sin, and of course, you can't "renew" your mind if it's not all there.
personally, I think drug abuse is sinful.

There's nothing in the bible about not smoking weed. It's just a man-made law. There's nothing morally wrong at all about smoking weed.

He wants the temptation to be there. But I'm missing out on the temptation, cause one puff would make me flunk the random drug test and lose my job.

Because the marajuana plant has medicinal benefits, humans abuse its purposes and that is when it becomes a narcotic.
Its like why did god allow humans to create the gun? So they could shoot themselves? No, it has been abused just like Marajuna.
