(My opinion: I don't know parent in their right mind would let their 14-year-old daughter get married!)
In the state of Texas the parental permission marriage age is 16. It looks like in the state of Mississippi a girl can be 15 without parental permission to marry. Go to the listed site to get more info.

Not sure if it's changed, but my aunt got married in Texas at the age of 14. I assume she had her parents' permission but it was 40 years ago so maybe not. They're still together so either way it turned out OK.

According to this site,
http://www.law.cornell.edu/topics/Table_Marriage.htm
the girl needs to be 16. One state, Massachusetts will allow a 12 year old girl to marry with parental consent and permission from a judge.

Why worry about it? Just go to Tennessee where any child can marry a relative without parental consent. If your girlfriend is not already related to you you can lie about it. Even though Tennessee doesn't allow evolution to be taught it is very progressive!

i know in the medieval time the normal age for a daughter of a lord to marry was about 12-14, form there they became Lady of the castle and that included being in charge of all household matters,
as far as today and in what state i do not know and personally would not sign for my children, it is a different world now.

Well, my high school sweetheart's sister actually got married when she was 15 with written consent from her mother (and this was in Leander, Texas), so I don't really know the minimum age, but it wouldn't shock me.
