My girlfriend told me she needed a break too.

Twenty five years later, she sent me a card wanting to know if I wanted to end the break.

Some break!

girl a break is seein other people and you will take a break from ya'll relationship for a couple of weeks and you will date other people and see if you can find someone else that is better than them and if you do then you start to date them. and dating. And also takin a break means seing other people and dating. But girl just leave him alone cause if ya'll get back to gether it wont be as good as the first time when ya'll met. Trust me on that cuz ya'll wont trust each other as much.

means trying to get out of relationship by using nie term take a break and hoping to find someone new in the meantime so dont have to come back. this is for cowards who cant confrront their partner and let them know not happy so use a excuse even to cheat cause can say we took break. i cnat do what the heck want then since not 2 gether, just a lame excuse to really say excuse me cause i just aint happy where im standing and need to move over.a cowardly excuse to take off but too scared to tell the person/someone not comfortable in their own skin and cant be themselves or be true

Taking a break means, that he wants to be away from you for a while!!
Trust me, sometimes thats the best thing and it really can help your relationship. If he wants to be away from you, it might be just to think about stuff, and spend a little bit of time on his own. When he is ready to go back, things can turn out great for both of ya!

It's common for a woman to break up in order to date another guy. He knows that, and doesn't trust you now.

A break means he's thinking about making the split permanent.

He found someone else that does not rely on him decoding a conversational message from you.

Talk to him and call him everyday and tell him you miss him and want to be with him. If you don't get him back within couple weeks, its over, learn from your mistake, and find a new man.

In my experience "taking a break" always meant "the party's over"...break-up. I think your bf's thinking is a little short circuited, unless he has another agenda or is interested in someone else.

It means he wants to go out and have sex with someone else but wants to make sure you'll still be around when he needs you. You might not cheat on him but it looks as though he might have his eye on someone else.
