Bible is complete fiction. Visit website below, you'll know more.
Your friends need to educate himself a little. If you talk to a christian about "rocket science" they'll not understand and think you're a devil.

The items you mentioned from the Bible are called miracles, because they are beyond the scope of natural law of physics, like the parting of the Red Sea.
Most Christians believe that the miracles of the Bible are true, not because they witness them happen for themselves but because they had some other thing happen to them that the Bible promised, like the in filling of the Holy Ghost, being healed or some other miracle.
Do a web search with the key words "Jesus documented healing" to check out some peoples testimonies.
If you want to know for your self, I suggest that you go to several Pentecostal and Apostolic churches in your area, and ask them to pray with you that you may know that Jesus is real, or that He would heal you of some physical condition or that some one would give you a prophesy (I suggest going to several churches because every church is different and some will have more of the gifts of the Holy Ghost than others).

I don't personally think the bible was intended to be the center of their religion. And back before things were being disproved by science, it wasn't. There was no reason for it to be. JESUS was supposed to be the center of the religion. But now things are being questioned and they are determined to hold onto it as truth instead of remembering why the religion is here to begin with.
Being a witch I believe in "magic" whether its called a miracle or whether its magic. Just because science hasn't explained it YET doesn't mean it can't. :)

I.E. I don't believe in God, therefore I don't believe in miracles.
Yeah, if you don't believe God exists, then it doesn't make sense. But what if, just maybe, God DOES exist? In that case, he's capable of more than you are I, and indeed capable of performing feats that seem impossible. Because he's God and he can do whatever he wants.
Instead of bothering yourself about each detail of whether or not each separate story in the Bible is possible, decide whether or not you think God is possible. If you believe God exists, then you must also accept the possibility that he's capable of things that aren't logical to you. The validity of the miracles in the Bible are entirely dependant on your decision about whether or not God exists.
Its just that simple. If you believe in God, you have no reason to doubt he could do those things. If you don't believe in God, then why would you even care whether the stories are true?

That's where faith comes in. What we have in the Bible are records of miraculous things happening. When Jesus turned the water into wine, we may not be able to scientifically test it, but we have the record of the feast, where the servants filled the jars with water, Jesus turned it to wine, and the attendees verified that not only was it wine, but it was the best wine they ever had, in their lives.

I believe that God has authority over nature. Through science, we've observed the way nature "naturally" works. ie, virgins don't have children, and water doesn't "turn" to wine. However, I believe God has authority over his own creation, so when he commands natural particles, they OBEY him. He is capable of commanding atoms and molecules to do things they don't normally do. If he commands water to turn to wine, I believe that atoms will reform out of obedience.
It's actually possible for all those things to happen, it's just not a natural occurrence. That's what divine intervention is.

Kacey, you're right, your friend should not be angry with you. In fact, I think he should not even be around you since you can claim to be catholic and yet not even believe in the basics of the faith.
The bible doesn't have to make sense. If it does, it would be in the science section of your local library.

I think in the book of Isaiah, there is a verse concerning man's stiff neck. do a bible search and find it. Then find the spiritual meaning of this passage, and you will have your answer. But if you don't do the work yourself, the answer in front of you would be unrecognizable.
