I have several theories.
1. You are doing it for the exercise.
2. You are Sisyphus, condemned to carry that rock up the side of a mountain, only to have it roll back down, for eternity.
3. You are a do-it-yourself sculptor carring material back to your studio.
4. You work in a rock quarry.
The answer, though, really is "No. I don't know!" :-)

It's a menhir, you fell in a cauldron of magic potion as a baby and it gave you superhuman strength that you like to show off especially to Panacea who you have a crush on. It's thirty years since I read an Asterix book but I've never forgotten.

The rock represents your burdens, your 'cross to bear'. On the up side, George Bush would fit under there nicely.

You have been sentenced to one of Dante's 7 layers of Hell where you are to spend an eternity carrying a rock up a hill just so it can roll back down and you have to start over?

Is this an allusion to "Pilgrim's Progress"? Pilgrim is seeking relief from the huge burden on his back, and finds it when he comes to the cross, when it rolls off his back.

No. I would guess you have a major need to waste your time.
I would not guess "Menir's Disease" because that would be too easy.
