I know, it's not scriptural, but God would certainly be just in doing so. I look at the terribly blasphemous posts on here, and the state of our world, and though I am a Christian, I think we all deserve death. Every last one of us, no special treatment. How sweet would that be? And considering that true Christians all have attained eternity with Christ, what's the problem? I know, it seems the easy way out, but in addition to being impropable it's also the reason why the apostle Paul wrote, "I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know!" Phillipians 1:20-22

Honest Christian: I said "I think..." That's what I do. God alone judges. And honest Christian, you are honestly taking that scripture out of context. God bless you and your family.

Tough question. First off, I couldn't make a judgement on this because I can't question what would be just for God to do. He has his reasons, I'm only here to love Him and can only try to understand why He does the things He does.
Personally, (and as you know), I don't think God would do this. I believe this everytime I see a rainbow. Moreover, there is still a lot of work for us Christians to do, spreading the Word and all.

God made a promise to Noah, that he would not flood the earth again. But yes he would be justified in doing it is his creation. I also am a Christian, a true devout beliver, but judgement should begin in the church, for it is the churchs fault that people feel this way. I have felt this and I tell the church all the time that we light in the world and need to show it.

Well, given the present levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere..............the impending threat of global warming...........the melting of the ice caps. HELL YES! i would say that another great flood is very much in order. We always get the impression that "God's wrath will be upon us", but what we all fail to realize is that we are paving the way to our own doom. If there is going to be another great flood (which i'm pretty sure there will be), it's going to happen because of our inconsiderate attitude towards our environment......our drive towards UNsustainable development. So don't blame God when the ice caps melt, global ocean currents are thrown into disorder, and extensive global flooding occurs. Man needs to learn to take responsibility for his own actions.

No, God will never flood the world again. He gave us a rainbow to be a sign for that.
I believe that the next time it will happen with fire. God's laws does not apply to Him. He gives a life and He can take it away. If He is capable of killing the unproductive fig tree, He will take anyone out...just like that. : )

Yeah but god sent the rainbow as a promise to never do it again!
You know what else? You still sin as a christian (on a daily basis more than likely) and prob have once in your lifetime blasphemed against god..whether in your mind, heart, or out of your mouth..so why shouldn't God drown you too?

"I think we all deserve death. Every last one of us, no special treatment. How sweet would that be?"
And Christians are supposed to be against such things as abortion and the death penalty right?
Yet another hypocritical "Christian".

How can it be justified if you are a Christian. God promised there would never be another such flood. I guess he could flood Yahoo Answers headquarters in...where is it...California?? (Only kidding Yahoo...its just sarcasm, not a threat).
However, whether God arranged or not...our poor choices regarding the environment assure us there will be another great flood...but it will be of our own making.

So you would say that Genocide - Mass Murder - is justified? Interesting. That's a strange form of management where the boss takes all the responsibility for good stuff and kills and murders for bad stuff.
Maybe god should come down to Earth, roll up his sleeves and start managing the situation???

God always allows floods.
BUT,
It would be unjust for there to be another world wide flood as happened in Genesis, where only the saved and their families and a certain amount of animals were saved.
WHY?
For two reasons.
1) If it happened God would have become a liar and no telling what real catastrophe that really would be.
SINCE,
God can not lie, such a thing would
NEVER
Happen.
AND
2) God said so, so again, its happening would mean that, God did not mean what He said, which make God
TWO-FACED;
UNLIKE
Satan.
BUT, and again, since God is not two-faced, such a thing would
NEVER
Happen:
UNLIKE
Satan.
