I do not like Scientology, but as far as Tom Cruise is concerned, he is not the only actor/actress who is a scientologist. He recently has become vocal about his belief in Scientology, though it has been known for some time.

I do not really consider him a zealot...but I no longer listen to his interviews or read them. I still enjoy the movies he is in.

He seems to have the same disease as a lot of other child stars. They seem to have so much trouble dealing with their popularity that they turn to religion to give them peace. Even though he is a Scientologist, he has become an avid spokesperson for religion and is out making himself look stupid just like Kirk Cameron.

It is really bizare how many child srars have turned to religion and become fanatics. Willy Ames from 8 Is Enough is doing comic books and videos with Christian themed super heros. There are more, but they aren't something I think of all the time. Maybe someone out there will Google all of them and post them.

I think it's fair to describe him as a zealot, but that's his right. It's a free country, and he's free to follow any religion or philosophy that appeals to him. He's dead wrong about postpartum depression, but Scientology is not the only religion to promote ignorance.

I personally think what Paramount did to him was terrible. But the movie industry isn't known for its long-standing loyalty to anyone.

Yes he is. He has the right to believe what he wants, but he doesn't have the right to push it on everyone else. As some who suffered from Post Partum Depression and who deal with bipolar, I refuse to watch his movies now as well.

He didn't have the inner strength to succeed on his own, so he gave his life up to Scientology. More and more actors are doing the same thing. Sad.

All I know that he's turned into a complete asshole, I can no longer stand him even though I used to love him to bits!!... Katie Holmes is a true loser for staying with him, we all know she just desperately needed a publicity boost for her fading career!
