My cat's ears are both swollen, one more than the other and I'm taking him to the vet today.

Depends very much on where you live! Just ring around your local vets for a quote. Are you sure this is an aural haemotoma?

Usually there are two procedures done. The first draining is done and then about one week later it's done again. Sometimes it doesn't need to be repeated because it healed the first time. The cat will probably go home with some antibiotics for about a week to 10 days.

Every vet clinic varies in it's cost. It depends on your specific clinic. The only way to be sure is to call the clinics in your area and ask. Around my area it is $35 per drainage and $45 for the antibiotics. Hope I helped. Good Luck

Well my dogs ear did the same thing and I paid 350 for ALL of it from the surgery to e-collar to meds and re-dressings! It sucks because his ear just did it again a week ago! I'm SO upset!
