Thats the first step to becoming an adult, realizing no one understands you. The next step is when you realize no one understands anyone.

Well I am sure that is not true, I have felt this way before. I guess your age makes a difference, if you are still living at home with your family, this may be why you are feeling this way. Although family loves you and means best, they usually do not understand how you are feeling and your approach towards things, especially if you are not following the family's way. If it is a friend that does not understand and it has come to the point where you feel like you can not act yourself, then it is probably the not right friend for you, no one should make you feel that way. A person only has a few true friends. if you are feeling this way about relationships, well that is a rough one too, finding someone to love and be intimate with but someone who also gets yah. So what I am trying to say is never stop being your true self there are many people out there that think like you, do not be down on yourself, because being yourself is a task in itself. Many people choose to be fake and that ain't right, you want people to like you for you. I struggle with this all the time, people have a hard time hanging out with me because I am kind and caring but I am also bold and honest and I am me no matter where i am. Be yourself, be happy to be yourself and you will soon find people who understand you

no other person can ever "understand" another. i don't think it is possible.

we can be sympathetic, maybe grasp the same ideas as other people or relate because we have had similar experiences. but i don't think we can expect someone else to totally understand us..... heck, it's sometimes difficult to understand ourselves!

it's more important to be ACCEPTED for who we are, don't you think?

if you are having difficulty and think others don't accept you, you might consider telling them how you feel about things, actually starting your sentences with "I feel.....". maybe that will help make yourself clearer?

i hope things work out! You are a unique individual, that that is what makes you so special!

Without knowing the specifics it's a hard one to call.

This could all depend on your age, your outlook and even your attitude. So without knowing any of this I can only suggest you stay positive and look and work harder with the people around you. Try and see their view and respond accordingly.
Everyone loves a happy positive person. Give it a go!
