800 million Buddhists worldwide don't believe in God- how many of them commit suicide or have stress related illnesses? A lot less than the percentage of Christians that's for sure.

Not Quite Hotshot, I live for life and my Children. I don't see where "committing suicide" would fit into the equation when I reach "an old age". The? Life does deserve to live without god. Sorry if that "bothers" you. That is my opinion.

While I don't completely identify as an atheist, I asked myself the question you posed.
I live for now. I live for friends, I live for the sheer joy of living. I live because it's what I know and I enjoy. I live for those days that make me smile and those that make me cry, for those are what make me human.
Your second part "the life doesn't deserve to live without God, doesn't it?", I don't agree with. For what purpose do you live your life for God? So that when you die, you can sit at his feet and feed his ego by telling him what a great guy he is 24/7? Seems kind of silly to me.
I have morals, I have values, I just simply don't choose to believe like you do.

I don't have suicidal tendencies. Nor am I afraid of death. Also, although I don't give any gods power to run my life, I don't shut spiritual existance out as well. I feel that Spiritual existance is your own interest in evolving experiancially.
Did I take a poll first, to see if others agree with me? No. IT doesn't matter "athiest" cannot be applied to a group of people and have it mean the same thing to everyone anymore than "religion" can.

So old people die everyday because God has left them?
I will honorably die when my time comes so if you call pulling the plug suicide then yes. I watch my Grandmother, who suffered a stroke, revert to the brain of a 6 yr old in capable of speech and mobility or even cognitive thought. So if you choose to live that life because your spirit is still hanging around feel free but I will graciously die hopefully.

Unlike christians, I live a more fulfilling and eventful life because I dont rely on the crutch of religion and a fake promise of an afterlife in heaven and all that jazz. I know that this is the ONLY life that I am going to live and I intend on making it one worth the while. I would never commite suicide.

Life is more valuable for an atheist than a believer.
As an atheist you know you have only one life. So it becomes more important to live a good, meaningful life.

The only way life has any value is when you know that there is no god. A person who believes in god lives a pointless life.

And your reason to live is the empty promise of an eternal life with a imaginary being? If that your only reason to live then you are one I would suggest suicide as an option. There is so much more to life than such foolishness.

That makes no sense.
First, atheism is disbelief in gods, not ALL supernatural phenomenon.
Secondly, just because someone doesn't believe in life after death or spiritual beings etc it doesn't mean that their life is pointless, in fact it can mean quite the opposite - if there is no life after death then we should treasure what we have.
To be honest it just sounds like you're ragging on atheists because you can't comprehend the idea of there being no God.
