assume that god is bound by the laws of physics like everything else in the universe. wouldn't that pretty much negate everything said about him during the story of creation as well as pretty much the rest of the bible as well?

jeancomm, ok i'll assume god is the most powerful energy... according to einstein's theory of relativity that would make god most massive as well, being that energy is a function of mass, e=mc^2. since god is infinite his mass is infinite, and thus since he is omnipresent his amazing mass would have such an incredible gravitional pull towards his center of mass that the universe would collapse on itself.

When you are talking about imaginary beings, you can make up whatever you want about them.

It's religion. It doesn't have to make sense.

Uh... No

Nobel Prize-winning physicist Arno Penzias (Big Bang Theorist) wrote this about the Bible "If I had no other data than the early chapters of Genesis, some of the Psalms and other passages of Scripture, I would have arrived at essentially the same picture of the origin of the universe, as is indicated by the scientific data."

God said let there be light and the first three things created at the Big Bang were subatomic particles, energy plasma and photons... light. So once you get past Genesis 1 the rest of the Bible is easy to believe and with modern archaeology there is enough evidence that the Bible is true if you want to look. In the end putting your faith in God and following Jesus and asking for his help in your life are the best proofs. You won't win the lottery and you will have problems but that faith is better than any winning lotto ticket!

Physics is simply the interaction of matter and energy. God is a consuming fire. God said, "I am God and there is no other." Assume God is the most powerful energy that you have ever encountered. And the most consistent energy and the most plentiful energy because He is every where.

I am far beyond thinking that something as simple as physics can bind God. Do not be deceived my friend, the story of creation is pretty much just like IT IS WRITTEN. God always tells us just what He wants us to know and no more. The truth is what you believe to be truth. I believe God is truth.

Ahh,but God lives outside time and space ,so time is only relevant to us earth bound folks. That's why He can see the end from the beginning. We watch a parade from ground level so we see only the present coming .He's above it all in the "Good Year " blimp and can see the end of the parade and the beginning.(So to speak)

Regardless if he is or isn't he is bound by iron chariots.. He just can't seem to over power them.

Then He would not be God. therefore, he could not have created the universe and we would not be here, nor would your quesiton.
