They serve who they want and as Christians our love of God, Jesus and others (even including... them) should be proportional to our devotion to God and following Jesus.

Of course not. There are intelligent Christians out there, too, who do not fall for the rhetoric against evolution. Some even teach it in schools. I'd call that devotion.

Most evolutionists I know don't hate christians. They (including myself) are most willing to enlighten *anyone* who is ignorant of science or uneducated as to how the real world operates.

I do know a number of evolutionists that are rather impatient with the bull-headed insistence behind things like the denial of science, the teaching of creationism/intelligent design (which aren't science) in science classes and the (intentionally) intellectually dishonest wedge strategy of "teaching the controversy".

It's not. The idiots do, but Dawkins is simply promoting the idea that 'self-pity' is not an option. His is a humanist declaration of hope.

I think religion is simply made up by man, don't know that much about evolution but from what I have heard and read over my lifetime it seems much more likely than a god that demands we believe in him!

I don't hate Christians, and there's no such thing as 'devotion' to evolution, provided you're a rational human being. Evolution is almost undeniable.

Pretty shallow, aren't you. Don't worry, we will do a collective pity on you, poor child. Does that make you feel much better now!

It isn't.

I totally accept evolution and I am a Christian.
