Ummm... is he a chef? Why else would you post taht in the Food & Drink category?

Hi Jane,
Not wishing to be too negative but you have virtually no chance of finding someone this way. There are 60million people in the uk, 30 million have computer access, 200,000 have Yahoo Answer accounts. On average 30 people will see your question.
If David is really popular, he propabably knows 50 people who would be winning to pipe up and say "i know him". 25 probably have intenet access, maybe 5 of them right now
there really is no chance of one of those 5 people also being one of the 30 that see your question here.
Really, there must be other ways of finding him. I wish you well, but its not even worth a "chance" here.
