Alcohol is naturally removed from your system over time - depending on how much you drink and how fast your body metabolizes the alcohol, this can take a few minutes, hours or maybe a day.

I'd be willing to bet that there is a way to test for alcohol consumption (but not necessarily quantity) a few days after drinking by testing the blood or urine for trace elements of whatever the metabolized alcohol breaks down into - this would probably require complex testing and laboratory equipment, however.

Realistically, I'd say that even after a bender of epic proportions, alcohol will typically be undetectable after 36-48 hours - unless you die, then it lingers much longer (since it's not being metabolized).

Urine test to check this. Also blood test. They call this a tox test. Sorry to say they do it on dead people to see if they had a blood alachol level after suffering a fatal car crash.
