wait, let me ask jesus about this one really quick...........
ok, the big j says not to worry. everyone can believe what they want but as long as you're a decent person you'll still get a pass to the afterlife. he thinks its pretty creepy the way people praise him and worship him cause he was just a person trying to help people and do good, not some son of god. and don't hate me for this answer, jesus said it.
he's a cool guy that jesus, sucks at ping pong though

Depends on the circumstances under which I found out. If, somehow, I found out during my lifetime, I'd change. If it was at the pearly gates or some such post-death situation, I'd simply say I was sorry and hope for the best. What else could you do?

Ultimately, I don't believe this is possible. I believe that there is one God, but he manifests himself in multiple ways to reach a diverse population of people and cultures. We all are really worshipping the same God, just in different ways. If I am wrong, however, see above!

And if there is no God, then it doesn't matter. :-)

I would hope that whatever God there really was would realize that I had lived my life with the goal of not hurting people and trying to be helpful.

Hopefully "intent" would go a long way, and hopefully it's not a petty, jealous god who would say "I don't care that you fed the poor and saved the lives of numerous animals and helped those less fortunate than you. You didn't pray to ME, so you're damned for eternity."

I would beat the minister with a bamboo rod and go to KFC for some finger licking good chicken.

That is not possible...no one can worship the wrong God.
