I received a check from H&R Block for a class action settlement.
My question is that the check does not look like a check, is more like a post card and what is supposed to be the check does not have a place where to sing it on the back. I just wonder if is safe to deposit it in my account since i've never seen a check like this.

Aren't those folks cleaver. They agreed to pay each of their customers but they send the money in a form that might not be recognized and use the cheapest means to mail it. You can deposit it with some degree of assurance since millions of people got the same type of "check".

Usually if it's not a check there would be some sort of disclaimer such as "not a check" "non negotiable"..ect.
It may be a discount coupon for H&R and their next service.
Just go to the bank and ask..they would know.

H&R block screwed so many people that they had to print refund checks like postcards to ever get them all printed. Take it to your bank and deposit it.

Call H&R block near you and ask them. Or take it to the bank and ask them.
