So much, I've learnt to dismiss and dislike most Christians more than ever, however A couple I am in contact with and we seem to converse with a mutual respect, they're just nice, bright and interesting it doesn't come up, I already feel I know too much bout Christianity, that's why I'm an atheist. I thought that there was just a few, scarce, extreme Christians, but I'll admit sometimes it makes me a little angry but sometimes my soul quakes a little for the world, the judgemental bigotry, the denial, the unhealthy hatred that's spread, the whole patronising, blinkered stance. The damage. I wish I knew the words to rid people of their blinkers. I'm at home recovering from a fractured skull, so it keeps me in touch, it interests me, it makes me mad, sad, happy, it gives me food for thought. Peace, good question

Yes. This particular form of comunication is very bad when concerning some degree of socialisation. It always reminds me of some traffic jam with all people hoking their horns and sceaming at the top of their lungs, rather than an organized discution with people looking at each other in the face. Still I think you can get an idea, although distorted, of all "the teams" present here.

Still, very offten i recognise that these ideas must be distorted, and exagerated, given that it is regurlarly given under an "angry disscution context"

(okay, i may not know what im talking about, the ortographic errors might give it away, still its my opinion)

Well, it has opened my eyes to a few things. I have found tolerance is so important and sometimes hard to have. We are all different with different life experiences that have led us to the beliefs we have and that is ok. I stand on my beliefs and believe them to be true obviously, but that does not mean that I think everyone else is wrong.

It is so important to not judge people upon first glance and mark them as not your type or not on your team. We all have something we could learn from each other.

I have also realized how silly it is to speak for someone else. I have seen first hand how dumb the "They believe this because, or they are like this. . .they they they. " it is all so dumb. If we would allow each to speak for themselves we could all learn something.

Yes, most definitely. I also realize now how insecure humanity really is, and how through that insecurity we become very narrow minded and convince ourselves that we are just of strong conviction. Very few actually seem secure enough in their own beliefs to discuss them without condemming. I think we can do better, but we are too into ourselves.

Few people are on my 'team' but yes, I do think I understand a little better how each person thinks. It is not all flowers and sunshine that they are thinking either! I have always been fascinated with people and their behavior...

I have no team. I'm a human being. What I've seen is an incredible amount of bigotry and hate from so-called Christians. (mainly from the U.S)

Many of these hateful bigots are Catholic women, or at least claim to be. They spew their hatred around other YA categories, then return to R/S and play dumb. (pun intended)

One very angry and hateful dude is a former drug addict, criminal and now self-proclaimed Christian and author. He's an avid gay basher and self-righteous freak. Blames his drugs and criminal activity on his dysfunctional family and society. (A sad Christian habit of passing blame)
