Why is it, that the hair on the back of a man's head seems to be more robust then the hair on top of his head? Seems the balding always starts at the top and moves down. Is there something to that?

the hair folicles always dies at the centre and edges of the head first. its a pattern which occures with most men....hence...male pattern baldness!lol
