apply a heating pad to your neck for twenty minutes, afterwards massage an analgesic cream into the neck. This will start to loosen the muscles.

If this continues I recommend you see a chiropractor for further treatment. I've enclosed a link where you can find a chiropractor in your area.

Turn your head from side to side. Do it gently and slowly. Massage your neck muscles and lay down on a flat surface, with no pillow. Hope this helps. Repeat if necessary.

the best way is to leave it alone. The more you try to relieve it by moving your neck around, the worse it will get. It will get better in about 3 days, so wait!! And DON'T try to move a lot.
